It Was The Weather, After All

Remember how I was concerned(read: panicking with worry) that Mousie wasn't eating much? Well, when I babysat last weekend she blew that myth out of the water!

*(pic taken a good few years ago, but relevant to the post! I did not want to snap pics of her eating this time for fear it might frighten her away from her food.)

So I guess it was the hot weather that was putting her off her food, because besides her meals of catfood pouches she had: 3 helpings of fresh rotisserie chicken, 2 deli sticks-chewy variety, and Dreamies throughout my 24 hour visit.

G'd willing, this will continue. Her weight is increasing daily, and this makes me happy. Meow.

40 Winks? - No Way!

So, last Friday night I received a text asking me to go and feed Mousie her morning meal (with meds) because no one was home to do so. Great. I went up there and decided to stay over.

But there was a problem: she WOULD NOT LET ME SLEEP! She kept climbing all over me, and head butting me, and wedging herself where SHE was comfortable. And just as I was drifting off...nooooo! she was up and walking all over me!

Which was a bit evil

But at least SHE was comfortable!

And she got a restful night's sleep.

Mousie - pleeeez! Let me SLEEP!

Standing, Climbing, Winking

Don't be alarmed at the hunk of fur that is missing from her neck. They had to shave the area when she stayed overnight at the vets for re-hydration. It takes a while to grow back.
