As we get older, our bodies change. So do kitties' bodies as they become senior kit-izens. I was brutally reminded of this fact over the weekend. With Mousie, we are a team; what I eat-she eats. But sadly, I cannot do this anymore. No more chicken and no more treats*. As she's on the hyperthyroid meds she can't have anything out of the ordinary. I have to be really vigilant and make sure I don't take my eyes off my plate for a second when I'm eating as she swoops in very quickly!

(*Her owner said that she looked on the Dreamies website and they've changed their recipe recently, so maybe that had something to do with it? Who knows, I'm not taking any chances)

My Special Girl

My special little girl is unwell again...and I am beside myself with worry. I will hear from her owners tomorrow, but in the meantime I'll worry and pray.

*UPDATE* ~She's okay!
I got a text from her owners saying that she ate all of her supper last night, and all of her breakfast today. At time of writing the text the owner said she was atop the stairs mewing for her supper!
So-here's my action plan: it seems to me that since she's got older and is on the meds, she can't take the treats and scraps from the table anymore. I believe this because she gets sick afterwards and she never, ever used to. I will have to stick to her usual food, however boring, and put a lock-down on the treats.
